Karen

One of the most striking essays in the book is by Karen Betaque  who observes that people often fail to listen carefully. Since I misspelled her last name, she might also have added that they also fail to look carefully. My error is, sadly, a confirmation of the on-going problem she faces with her name and people’s lack of attention: my failure  is proof of the point she makes in her essay. In addition, I also introduced another spelling error  in “Huguenot.”   I apologize to Karen for both of these editing errors. If you see errors on this website or in the book, please let me know so they can be corrected in the next edition.
